Throwback Thursday – Big Lights Big City

1Street lights, shop lights or neon signs are what you usually get on your night scene in the city. This throwback Thursday we thought we just take a look at the city lights in the 20th Century. London city had to be one of the brightest of them all along with Birmingham, Liverpool and many other major cities. Carnaby Street and the King’s Road became as famous as Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square, and people were loving the life London had to offer.

2During the 1950’s and 1960’s the West End London theatre was a popular attraction, which held many shows and plays it lit up the streets as it was one of the first theatre buildings to be lit by cleaner electric lights when it first opened in late 1800s. London city is one of busiest cites in the country and the big lights are one of the characteristics that make it beautiful by night.

Why not reflect back on the traditional outdoor lampposts lights and lantern lights from our exterior lighting collection on our website like the Capri Outdoor Post Light and the Chicago Pillar.
